Could you imagine if this was the old Winnipeg Arena? The roar?
Instead we get some sort of bad dream. It's like the fn' Twilight Zone. BRING BACK THE JETS!

That's it? That's the banner? Well, it's better then nothing. At least the Coyotes have the class to retire his number and leave #9 & #25 retired, unlike Colorado and Carolina who showed the lack of by unretiring every number that had been retired in Quebec and Hartford.

Hawerchuck was everything to me when I was a kid.

Notice how there is virtually no commenting from Phoenix 'fans' on here? It's not all Winnipeg comments, either - but no Phoenix. Time to pack your bags and leave the desert, boys.

Hawerchuk was on the Flyers briefly. But I'm just a fan of the NHL in general, so I definitely respect Dale Hawerchuk on every team he was on.

given the situation in Phoenix, the coyotes may very well relocate out of phoenix, hopefully they come back to the Peg where they truely belong. BUt given that snakeoil commisioner we have, he might move it to Las Vegas

In a way it is kinda sad watching this, but it's not like no one cheered. Phoenix has a young developing cast, but they just can't put a winning season together since JR (from what I can recall) was on the team.

winnipeg never should have lost the jets, the nordiques and whalers should still be in their original cities. minnesota should have the north stars and not the wild. the league should have been capped at 24 teams and only in strong hockey markets. no tampa, nashville or miami. atlanta has failed twice as a hockey market. san jose has supported the sharks, but they've also had a winning team most years. attendance in denver has been falling off since they haven't been winning as much.

Columbus always has decent crowds, but they really dont have any other teams to share the market with.

Hey, Seattle would be a good market.
