At the 2010 Summer Academy Lia and Dan Perjovschi are directing the class Expanded Drawing in Hohensalzburg Fortress.

"With probalby the simplest and most economical of current art practices, Dan Perjovschi's work manages to comment on the widest possible terrain of political, economic and artistic subjects. His work is humorous, sharp and sometimes cutting in its exposure of human behaviour and fragility. In simple terms, he draws pictures and texts on walls" (Charles Esche).
Dan Perjovschi (1961) lives and works in Bucharest. He has dad solo projects at ROM Toronto, MoMA New York, Basel Kunsthalle, Tate Modern, Portikus, Frankfurtand Ludwig Mu- seum, Cologne. Perjovschi received the George Maciunas Prize in 2004.
For today's world, Lia Perjovschi thinks it is important to propose common sense, "with empathy, open mind, creative, relaxed, modest - without superiority, flexible. What Harrison Owen articulated in his Open Space Technology: AUsers Guide works for me and I appropiate the four principles (1) 'Whoever comes is the right person' (the public/participants for me) ...
(3) 'Whatever happens is the only thing that could have' ... (4) 'When it's over, it's over' ... and Owen's law: 'The Law of Mobil- ity' ... If you are neither learning nor contributing, go somewhere else (do something else) ... Don't waste time!"
Lia Perjovschi (1961) was born in Sibiu, Romania: "From my body to the body of knowledge. I did what I could out of what I had and I call this art. I started with experiments in perfor- mance art, including 'voice activating' installations and now I have developed the CAA Contemporary Art Archive/Center for Art Analysis ... a contemporary art museum in files ... a com- prehensive international database ... a frame and a platform for dialogue, communication and empowerment on issues reflecting the current debates in the field of art and new cultural theories, about the social and political relevance of art, its autonomy and context."
