Big Ten champion Michigan State takes on Pac Ten champ Southern California at the 1988 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. MSU defeated USC in East Lansing 27-13 on Labor Day to kick off the 1987 season, and now the two teams would have their rematch on New Year's Day.

This brings back memories. I was 10 years old at the time of this game, and the '87 season was what really got me into MSU football. I really hope MSU can get back to a Rose Bowl again soon. BTW Rodney Peete would go on to throw many more interceptions as quarterback of the Lions. lol
