I bought this camera in 2009 and i am still using it today. The quality is undeniably great. Even the movie mode is awesome it can track your subject even while you are shooting. Heck, i do use this camera while i am shooting professionally and got some best pictures in my portfolio I just wish Canon would make compacts like that again. I miss the S,A,M modes, the viewfinder and the large grip. To tell you the truth I was kind of disappointed to use my sister's A2200.

@rahulva I use Energizer 2000 mAh.  Lasts a lot longer.

I have this and more or less satisfied with it. Its image stabilization is excellent. It has many features than will is normally seen in a DSLR.

It is good for people trying to learn professional photography but sans an expensive DSLR.

The only complain is that the AA batteries used dies very early. Use good rechargeable batteries.
