Section 25 . The Process

From The Hip (FACT 90) is Section 25's third album, released in 1984, and is definitely emblematic of the period and the label. Like New Order at the time, the tone of the music is darker, yet is interpersed with sections of almost House Music-like beats. It shouldn't surprise that Bernard Sumner takes the production credits - making this album sound much like one should from practical lieutenants of the Factory Records regiment.

you'll notice that the section toward the end where the synths really get going is sampled in the Looking From a Hilltop megamix, which made me realize the megamix is like a jumble of the entire album, which blew my mind
