I like the passion you bring to it lyrically. I have always loved this song and considered it one of McC's most emotionally raw and heartfelt songs -- and most under-rated. Simply beautiful. Hearing your version brings back to me the pure truth and emotion in his music, especially in that era. Thanks for sending it.

His love and awe for Linda overwhelm even his own unsurpassed musicality. The song is the opposite of unimaginable grief. If you have ever been broken by the loss of a lover you know the body is simply unable to express the depth of the anguish. In this song Mc achieves the opposite. His is a bliss so intense even his own expressive genius falls short. He can only cry out "Baby I'm amazed" then stumble over his own lyrics. What else could he say? Any man who has ever loved like that knows.
