@elbrunoeterno its *not* ecologically sustainable. After the clay has been fired it can never be returned to it's unfired state .. even if it breaks up into pieces someday it will still be chemically different and unusable as a building material. So all it would take was enough people making bricks and there would be no more clay left on earth

Mudbricks does not get burned. they are just dried, so YES - it IS sustainable.
