The only copy of the movie I have is an ex-rental on VCR.

The German Actor is dead by the way. Sad, as I would have loved to see him is a sequel.

I was 13 when this movie came out & was beginning my bump comp career (so to speak). This movie was worn out at my house...I still ski to this day, I'm a ski instructor now. Best ski movie ever made!

Oh gawrsh, forgot what they (I) looked like back in the day.  My style was with less "flair", but this reminds me of how we all looked a tad goofy in the 80's. Anyway, some of us old dogs still do it. I'm 48 and can't wait to get my 140 center-mounts on the hill. It's still a blast... and the eyes of kids (including boarders) pop out whenever they see me do a Leg Breaker or Tip Roll...

to be honest this is pretty cool what they can do but i see why snowboarders back in the day thought all skiers were gay. and im a skier saying this too. but no hate towards these guys

@grl8862 How did the German actor die? I have the DVD. Not sure how or where I got it, but this movie was a classic. The best ski movie of all-time. The only other ski movie I really liked was "Aspen Extreme". I moved to Reno after high-school, so I skied up at Squaw Valley all the time. I made a point to search out the spots in the movie and ski them. I still think about those days and loved them.

This movie had the Chinese downhill and the line Sunny side up, Sunny side down and Sunny side all the vaved around. I think the bad guy in the movie was talking about Shannon Tweed
