Self-segregation is prevalent on some college campuses. In this video, I interview Duke University students for their opinions on self-segregation, and I end the video on a poetic note.

"Being with your own kind is completely natural"

Indeed, that's why I prefer to be with intelligent, non-racist people, no matter what color they are. Actually, I am pretty much color blind when it comes to skin.

  • AMEN!As a white person i find that shit very insulting to all people. We have more in common with eachother than we relize, but we are just starting to notice. That is because people of all races are waking up to this rediculous bullshit ya know.I have noticed over the years the people screaming racism all the time isnt black people on a regular basis, but idiotic white people. These are the people who keep racism going.

  • @MomoTheBellyDancer that is the sad thing really. why do we want to be with our own kind? are we just naturaly xenophobic? it turns out that we are. and the education is requried to grow out of xenophobia. we need to stop thinking stuff in black and whiter ironicaly. instead of having "black" history month we need to think all history of all nations as history of humanity. instead of thinking people in groups we need to judge people as individuals.

  • This forced multiculturalism is reverse-nazisme.

  • and this is a college campus lol the kids dont even know u cant be racist all humans are of the same race unless u hate all humans

ethnicity is the magic word u smart college kids are looking for what an embarrassment

  • i dont understand how its a problem or how its even bad just make friends with people u get along with regardless of their color

if they all happen to be the same as you so what?

    if they aren't so what?

  • @Fnkychld well....diversity in colleges basically go against all that is natural in humans...we are suppose to try to be american ...not mexican american ...still keeping some sorta faith and pride to a mexican heritage....or like some Italians americans still believe they are in Italy...you dont see german americans separating themselves from the rest of us in the U.S....

  • @Kiratsuchii

I Agree. Majority Of My Friends Are Black But I DO Have "Some" Friends From Other Races. I Just Feel That I Connect With My Race MORE, Just Personal Reason. I Respect Other Races & Cultures But At The End Of The Day I Share More Similarities & Experiences With My Own Race.

  • Asians bring their racism to america.

  • @Kiratsuchii "I'am not racist towards anyone; but i just don't trust anyone who isn't black, nor can i afford too."

I hope you were joking because that so very racist.

  • You gotta have friends from outside of your race, where the hell are you guys from Buttcrack, Mississippi? People don't give it a second thought in NYC, SF, LA, London, Toronto etc. Get some culture and get out of your cocoons, life's short man. You gotta be either provincial, paranoid, snobby or ignorant to not have at least one friend outside your race. We're all people, we all like the same things. Look at dogs, they don't care what breed the other dogs are, they're all friends.

  • Duke University? Oh, yeh. That's the university that labeled the white lacrosse players "racist rapists", then..........it turned out that Duke was full of shit and the players were innocent. Screw Duke University!!!!!!!!!!!
