  • How do I say this?? Tiff is wrong! I'd have the ST over the Golf any day! Unless it was an R32, but then I'd have the Focus RS over the R32 any day!

  • I wonder how far behind both these cars my own Peugeot 306 TD would be around a track. I did a mild tune on it from 90BHP up to about 120BHP but it's got a high quality aftermarket suspension setup that makes these cars look like jellybabies on cornering. I could go for a flat out 200BHP tune but am a bit of a miser and don't want to lose my 50 plus mpg, not to mention risk throwing a con-rod or two. Can't have it all ways I suppose. I'm available to sexy women and for after dinner speaking.

  • @dkingd1980 Brilliant mate...I have a 60 plate ST myself...255bhp fucking mental speed. Not as fast as the RS I know...but the ST is setup for day to day use as you say. Very nice to drive...really smooth.

  • Focus all the way! You cannot get a better hot hatch for the same money, is the Golf worth that extra cash? Nope! The ST has more torque and makes a nicer noise than the Golf, plus it is setup better for practical day-to-day road use, where these hot hatches are usually used, and not on the track so Tiff's opinion doesn't really count in this review unless you're an avid track user. For all you GTi loving dickweeds ready to cry me down, take 20p and go tell it to someone who gives a shit! ╭∩╮

  • I can't understand what all the arguing is about. Every car has its flaw and these two are no exception, however, I've driven both and I can honestly say that both these cars are very good and if you own either, you are a lucky person.

  • @getmeblad Well im glad you did your homework and still failed to realise that sitting in the ST is identical to sitting in an old Transit van like the ones we have at work. A RARB fitted to a VXR will also fix other issues on the chassis and handling but that stems in to modifications. Btw have you seen the glut of STs on the used car market now? And they are bloody well cheap.

  • @getmeblad ....Zzzzzz... Zzzzzzz... Zzzzzzz... Zzzzzzz... Zzzzzzz... ZZZZZZ *Rolls over* Zzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzzz... Zzzzz... Cough cough Zzzzz... Zzzzz... Zzzzz... Zzzzz... Zzzzzz...

  • @getmeblad No I believe you... No really...

  • @getmeblad Do you know what? I was doing 100 in my Matiz the other day, got really excited and was banging my head and going "Yeaaaahhh boyyyy" but then I found out it was all in Km/h. I thought it was a bit fast for a Matiz oh well never mind...
