Here I am playing Rumble which has been regarded as one of the most influential rock instrumentals of all time. The song was originally released in 1958 and performed by Link Wray & His Ray Men. This song utilized then-unexplored techniques like distortion and feedback. It became a huge hit in the United States where it climbed to number sixteen on the charts in the summer of 1958.

  • this must be one of the easiest songs to play ever haha

    still sounds great

  • @piszczello Not really. I've played easier songs than this. :-)

  • How did you do that echo effect at the end?

  • @3star2nr It's not echo it's tremolo.

  • @3star2nr Electronic effect in the pedal.

  • Hey Bruce! Congratz man. What a simple, and nicely done cover! Where did you get the backing track. If it isn't the original, it's really god-damn close. Can you host it into a site so we can download it?

  • @BrunoHammett As of this time, I don't have a site to host it on but that may change in the near future. Thanks for asking.

  • Great cover man!...Could you make another one using the background music from the

Ry Cooder version of Rumble used in the movie "Streets of Fire".

  • The first song that I learn to play with my Ibanez

  • doesn't seem like it's completely in tune, but maybe that's the tremelo, nevertheless...awesome cover good job

  • It just seems unreal that this song could be banned by some stations just because of the power of the music itself.

  • You do both the track and the man justice, brother.

  • Very good job. Puts a very good impression on the song.

  • EXCELLENT
