Pink Floyd - Brick in the wall ; Playing on my newly restored Grundig Console model SO 132 and Built in 1959. Nothing today can compare to the sound of this stereo; and unfortunately this video does not capture its capability. I will try to get some more 70's and 80's albums uploaded in the near future.

  • just beautiful, way better than those made in china pods of today. this is something that feals real it has almost emotions.

Never ever throw it away. I am still crying that my parents trowed away alot of vintage stuff I wanted to bring in my home

  • Man this is the best brand of console.

  • @OBSysteme Does it power on? if yes find out where the tubes are located and find which tubes arnt lighting up or if they are all lighting up just wiggle each one of them, I had a tube in mine when i got it didn't light up so i didn't have sound I wiggled it and now it works great.

  • That looks like a Kuba Komet model

  • Hey dude, ive been given a grundig almost exactly the same as your one only lighter in colour, it looks like it came out of the shop last week!!!! it looks brand new! any idea what its worth??

  • mine cost 200$ Canadian to repair 210$ American :p

  • Hi There, I got a JVC Nivico Perfect Stereo unit that has a 4-Track Stereophonic tape recorder, 4TR-99U and a 4TR-99UM. The original instructions can be found inside. The unit has 10 Tubes and 7 Diode to power the 2 x 8" Woofers, and 2 x 3.5" Tweeters. Do you know anything about these things?

  • I have over 100 grundig units of this vintage. I have restored the best ones. See my KS460 console.

    The main problems are:

    1) Faulty Bridge Rectifier. The cause low voltages. Easy to fx if you know how. Best left to a tech.

    2) Faulty Paper Capacitors. I replace ALL in any set.

    3) Faulty Resistors causing distortion. Just measure every voltage in the set and fix where faults found

    4) Have not found a faulty tube, however they do go weak. Find someone with a Valve Tester to check.

  • just recently got this exact stereo,it sounds awsome, the original cartridge was dead

though,it was ronette.i used a more modern ceramic but the mount on the original

was odd,no screws!so i had to glue it in.what cart do you have in this one?
