A bachleor project from Medialogy at Aalborg University (Copenhagen) Spring 2008.
We created an audiovisual-interactive tabletop interface for the popular tabletop game Warhammer 40.000. This is only a prototype, so its physical parameters are somewhat limited.

I'm not sure what you mean by bog standard.
Frankly I just think the table needs to be full sized so these guys can play a game on it!

@8thlvlMage You could do it with a bog standard multitouch table and some reactable markers. Then you could use your fingers for selection and not need a marker.

If you could make a 8'x4' table with faster response times on the selections, with some kind of finger thimble instead of a model's base, this would be perfect. The only thing left would be to mass produce it!

Sure, I could send you the report we did on it, you would only need to read the design and implementation section if you wanted to replicate it though.

I don't suppose I could take a peak at the report as well, I've been trying to look in to something like this and this might give me the inspiration I need to go with my ideas.
