It looked like the conductor was just being funny, not seriously angry.
Did the train stop at the wrong place? It looked like the passengers were expecting to be able to board from the high platform, but instead had to go down to the lower platform and step up to board. Other videos of Downeaster trains have shown people boarding from (and disembarking to) the high platform and crossing a little portable bridge.

The Conductor had said 2nd double in OOB and that's why the Engineer stopped at the 2nd double in Wells as well.
