Neighboring Towns Give Newtown Police a Break

On Christmas Day, out-of-town police officers were on duty to give police in Newtown, Connecticut a break. The gesture came as the community observed the holiday and remembered the 20 children and six educators gunned down at school. (Dec. 25)

This is a class act and I'm usually very cynical.  I know personally that as LEO, working holidays is the less glamorous part of the job and everyone usually kills to get XMAS or T-Giving off so this is pretty nice to see guys volunteering like that. My agency is 3900 people so it would take the National Guard to do this for us lol but still great gesture.

But they sure are there in time to pull us over and give us tickets instead of actually doing their job and protecting the defenseless. They should have been sitting in front of the school instead of sitting on the side of the road waiting for someone to drive a little too fast. I just want to see a cop do something good for once instead of continue to relentlessly fuck people over. We don't need to hire more cops for this either. We already have too many.
