Thank to Leytush 51 for this beautiful posting. Symphony 3 is my favourite Rachmaninoff's piece.

There is something in maestro Leytush's performance that reminds me of Ormandy and Stokowski's performances of this piece. He is a great conductor and we all deserve to hear more of his work. This performance surpasses many and is on par with the greatest of all conductors. Thank you. I find myself lucky to have heard this great conductor here on youtube. Thank you Arkady Leytush for the great work you are doing; you are the true descendant of Golovanov and Mravinsky. Thank you ...

I watched on tv last Sunday evening the Sydney Symphony Orchestra performing this Symphony - it was very good, conducted by Vladimir Ashkenazy.Rachmaninov is undoubtedly my favourite composer!
Why's the Great Hall not full? I hope it's a rehersal. If not thats sickening!

I would trade my life to have written this symphony. As ravishing as is his second symphony, I find this one moves me to feelings I knew not I possess. What a master!
