I have this video too :). My dad bought it when I was 2, and it reminds me of those days greatly. Another film which reminds me of those times are the Beyond the Mind's Eye series which I throughly enjoy to this day

Ron Frick is the man who inspired me to do my own musical videos of different cities. I hope you can see some of his influences when you watch mine. Thank goodness I was blessed to have the opportunity to watch his works!

Is this somehow related to the film Koyaanisqatsi? it has some of the same settings, like the one in the subway station but from a different point of view.

Yes, it's related to some point.
Koyaanisqatsi was written, among others, by Ron Fricke, who is the director of Chronos. :)
