  • The twin leading shoe front brake on my '68 was as good or better than any brake I've ever used on any bike including one with a disc so I don't know if the '05 is any improvement in that respect plus they don't have all the cool old school stuff like the ticklers and choke to start them. I enjoyed the starting ritual actually. Wish all my money did not have to go to the house and I could get my '68 running again.

  • @bitobonnie Thanks for Your interest. Nice to find out that someone almost on the other side of the globe pays some attention to my video. Here we have only ab. five months/year to drive. The rest of the year we have to do snowworks. Hope You get Your -68 to run.

  • greetings Trollikka! nice machine! Er yes it was er William Gladstone actually LOL! • @sewerbyarnold Greetings from Finland. This bike has begun her life the first january 1969 in Gothenburg Sweden. 1996 she lived in Olofström Sweden and was bought to Kiruna Sweden. Year 2007 i bought it therefrom and she become finnish. Nowadays you can see she and her beauty on the roads nearby Helsinki. So she has lived only in Sweden and Finland. Those names you gave to me I couldn´t find from swedish or finnish phone catalogues.

    Have a good day

    Martti

  • Well, well my friend. It´s long ago I payed some attension on the speed. It was on those days when your president was Lyndon B. Johnson. What? Don´t you remember? All right,- you were not born on those days when I sat on my first Triumph...and enjoyed of speed...

  • GREAT BIKE!!!!!!

  • Greetings from NY - Beautiful Bike!!!

  • Its breathing, "get on lets go!"

  • @TheTwomuchfun They still make Triumph Bonneville, may dad has a 2005. They have disc brakes, which are much safer than the 1968's he used to ride.

  • Brings tears to my eyes. If they would only make these for our kids. Good sounds my friend. Cliff

  • @Trollikka Cheers Marti, I envy you in a nice way.
