Brush on Silicone Mold using 70-30 silicone. This is a great mold making techniques for resin busts and or flexible foam casting. We made a simple plaster bandage support shell but a resin shel could also be made. Check out our other videos for mothermold construction tips.

  • one question: Is there anyway that the brush on method can be done without the thickener?

  • @coolbionicle Yes, but you would waste a lot of silicone and you would have to apply many layers to get a decent thickness.

  • Can't seem to find your video about the mother mold. Maybe I'm just over looking it. Any help appreciated. Love your vids!

  • @boystape This was a plaster bandage mother mold. We didn't show the process on this mold but you can find it amongst our other videos if you search "plaster bandage mother mold process".

  • I have no use of this video. but I watch it cause its interesting :D

  • Looks so weird throwing that stuff down its throat

  • @Mngzkhuel Check with Mould Life in the UK.

  • @brickintheyard I live in Germany. Is that silicone available here as well? To ship it all the way from America seems odd to me.

  • @Mngzkhuel Go to the website listed at 9:40 and you will find it. We have several Tin silicones on our webstore that work great for brush on molds.
