Yep. The entire Smallville cast would have suited it better and that's not because I watch it. I actually found the cast to be quite annoying on Superman Returns. An Kate... geez woman... dress up as Lois Lane and LIVE like it, because you look 100x better as her. Blonde? Doesn't suit you at all.

The movie wasn't just about him fighting bad guys, though. The movie was called Superman Returns because it focused on how the general populace dealt without Superman in the world. Some saw it as a blessing (Lex), some saw it as abandonment (Lois).
And then all of a sudden, he comes back. Does the world need a Superman or not? That's the key point of the movie.
