You can come here very early, approx 2 -3 hours from the game's biginning. To open the locked door, you have to buy Crest of Artorias (20k) at Blacksmith Andrei's shop.

@shoshenkis The forest in this video. Talk to the cat in the tower to join the covenant, then start raping face. The invisible archer drops the best Dex build bow in the game, Shiva's invisible body guard drops the ring that lets you do super epic rolls, a few humanity drops, and some less than epic things. Shiva's shield is okay, too. Well worth the short slaughtering trip. Just don't "glitch" them off the edge until you get your drops.

@shoshenkis The NPC's will only drop their epic loots *after* the covenant is broken. It's an excellent idea to betray this one. It sucks anyway.
