Since the upgrades, it's eaisier for a pilot to get a fix on what altitude they need to be at to guage the strafe angle. The steeper the angle, the more concentrated the fire is going to be. No doubt it was a steep angled strafe to get all the rounds to hit but that's what a good pilot knows to do. Standard 30 mm ammo pattern consist of one DU round to every four exploding tip round shells. The rounds are just under a foot long and weight 1 1/2 lbs each.
