hate this bullshit american trailer "what if japan had allied itself with the united states during WW2" i think you mean "allied itself with the Allies" of which the US only became a part of after being directly attacked. Fucking USA trying to rewrite history to put themselves at the centre.

god damn this movie is so underrated... I dont understand why it didnt do so well. They spent so much money on this shit and it shows. Japanese actors...historians....A list korean actors....wtf. I love this shit

@tokee1234567 None of the Taiwanese were happy about colonization,nor treated well in the beginning and there were anti-Japanese resistance everywhere.But today,Taiwanese people are not so angry anymore,because of their economical success and mild character.And above all,they know how to appreciate the moment.

taiwan didn't really mind the japanese colonization b/c they had a good economy along with the colonization and plus the colonists didn't treat them as badly as they did in other countries... but in korea things are different. same epoch? korea still has problems with japan regarding the historical issue and taiwan doesn't. same epoch, different story... and what history are you talking about anyway?

does the movie contains as a synopsis?Although I'm not a colonialist,

there are different ways to capture the history depends on education

and local character of the people.And I recommend you to watch '’Cape No.7’’a Taiwanese directed movie of the same epoch.

@MrParapol um it's not anti-japanese... if they make a movie of the Iraq war... is that an anti-american movie?? why does everyone just love japan and always try to protect it? japan did some shitty things before, and it's not surprising that the topic would still be brought up in some form or another (it's really only been less than 70 yrs)

It is not so surprising to see anti-Japan story again by Koreans,even for SCI-FI movie like this.Same history written and recognized by mostly only Koreans with Hollywood looking action cinema.Worth watching if you are historian or psychiatrist.
