@tridnguyen Thanks! The Xenons are nice, but expensive. Bulbs were $115 as cheap as I could find for the pair, and they have sensors that about $100 if they fail...which one of mine did.... Auto wipers are sweet. I think they came together in a package.
Yeah, it's that little nub off the back, isn't it? It like somehow knows when, like if a truck passes after it rains and sprays basically mist all over the car they turn on. They don't have to sense a hit on the windshield.
I think your saab is kinda cool. I have a 2003 9-5 too (bought used) and it doesn't have xenon or automatic windshield wiper..

BTW the way it works is it has a sensor on the inside of the windshield behind your rear view mirror and that does some MAGIC :PP

yeah there's a sensor that should be square shaped which detects how much water covers it, not an actual vibration sensor

That's what I thought. It's better than a vibration sensor, because it won't turn on if a bug or something hits it.
