@princesTomboy well yeah it's a huge spoilers but her parents died when she was 8 years old in an accident. She was moved to an orphanage due to her being a loss of parents. And there's where she got the burn marks from

I really liked how they gave Hanako's route a new sound track when she talks about her scars; the one called "Painful history". It threw me off and made it more interesting. This dramatic cutscene helps too.

Deepest storyline in the game, and the closest I've ever come to crying in a game. I just wanted to jump through the screen and hug her when... well I won't spoil it for those who haven't gotten it yet. It's free, it's direct download, so WHY AREN'T YOU PLAYING IT?!

@ovoon7 Rin and Hanako's seemed to carry the most meaning, it was very nice to watch them again after completing the different routes just to garner a deeper understanding.

I mean even the face that Hisao makes tells a lot.

And that last cord at the end of Hanako's brings a chill to me. How bittersweet these are.
