Does it work WITHOUT the battery door? Because I lost my battery door, and right now my 500D doesn't work... So a grip would help :) Thanks.

@vevedu93 ~ Hey, sorry for the late response. The battery grip will work even without the battery door (The thing that I removed from the camera body). The only purpose of putting the battery door inside the battery grip is for storage so that in case you decide not to use the battery grip, you know where to find it. Hope this helped. Thanks for the informational video. I was actually sitting here making fun of you. (All in good fun.) For buying an XS instead of an XSI and then proceeding to spend the insane amount of money for a genuine BG-E5 instead of going with the $30 - $50 third party battery grips that are available. :P
