@cosmoalexia thanx for your concern, but I had to scrap that car as the garage wanted £1800.57p to repair damage to the engine, glad now I never paid for a dip stick
Thankfully my new car has a dipstick, but I think it must be too short as there is no reading on it...will need to take it to my nearest garage soon anyway as there are funny noises coming from the front of the car

No Offense but this is crap if you need to watch this to change oil you don't need to be working on your car! lol pull the plug place pan under car. allow oil to drain Into pan Replace plug Locate and remove oil filter normally twisted on sometimes located in the block on newer motors. Now as far as oil choice i always always always use castrol gtx havoline or mobile 1 for sure if you can afford mobile 1 thats the way to go. now remember 4 quarts make a gallon my diesel uses 8 quarts so 2 gallon

when a new oil filter and oil pour in the car,,,
then put another STP oil supplement in the car,,,
the motor is so great smooth running longer

my car hasn't got a dipstick so i used a bit of bamboo stick to check the oil but it fell in, i used a longer bit but it too fell in, can anybody tell me how long the dipstick should be?
