  • Hakeem would get 40ppg 22rpg and 12apg in todays era.

  • Top 10 player of all time

  • This is the greatest player of all time! Why don't the network show him/his moves at all.

  • was there anyone in the nba he didnt block?!!

he inspired the way i play!

  • In so many words Hakeem didn't get star treatment. He pretty much got anti-star treatment; until Jordan left the league. Then when he came back the league put hakeem right back on the back burner. I am glad youtube is keeping him alive. I notice how you never see any of the network mention him or show his highlights in the promos before the big games where they show Jordan Bird magic( of course) and even Dr. J and Russel but no Hakeem highlights, maybe a background pic. I never understood it.

  • IMO the only reason Hakeem was not bigger than Jordan is because Jordan had much more charm and court savy. Hakeem had a hard accent and early in his career was constantly T'd up. So he was not as marketable and didn't have very many endoresments. At the time the NBA didn't care about expanding globally and especially into Africa. I love watching Hakeem growing up in Houston but I remember him punching guys on the court and consistently getting into it with refs. He never had the savy of jordan.

  • the game where he demolished david robinson in the playoffs remains one of the best ever individual performances

  • The best player of the world in the 20th century! Great Hakeem!!!

  • And a man, a real man.

I can't believe the immature sissies in the league today - it's not like punks like these weren't around years ago, they were around, just in less numbers and less visibly - no one in power would allow such puerile jokers around.

  • yea u right
