@pixelrow They are Olympic athletes of the singing world, but all singers have to work hard. There are more pop singers suffering nervous collapses than opera singers. Singing is a hard business to be in. Yes, I prefer opera singers, but if you look at my channel, you'll see that there's a pretty eclectic representation of singers there...and I don't put singers on my channel if I don't like their work. We all have our preferences, but that doesn't make us snobs.

But the term pop singers for likes of Watson Westerna etc is false and i detect a hint of snobbery.

This idea that pop singing is easy or a lesser art is simply pathetic. Someone like Micheal Jackson or Mariah Carey - are maginificent singer bar genre.

natrual talent is natrual talent. Trained or otherwise. One genre or other.

You didn't explain the difference

@pixelrow Classical singers are pretty much all opera singers. Opera singers sing roles in complete operas in legitimate opera houses and don't use microphones. They also sing in classical recitals and concerts also sans microphone. Westenra and Watson are pop singers who sing opera arias. There is nothing wrong with this, but opera and pop opera (popera) are two different genres.
