This bathroom was remodeled using the USGBC's ReGreen Criteria. The old bathroom was cluttered, and the look was out of style. We started by donating the old tub, toilet, and vanity to a rehabber that was doing a gut remodel on an old home.

We then removed the tub deck to open up the area, extended the shower, and added a seat in the shower. We used a waterproofing membrane on the shower floor, seat, and walls, to be sure there would never be any leak or mold issues. We laso replaced all of the drywall behind the shower walls with fiber cement backer board. We added radiant heating to the tile floors, and a Panasonic Whisper Green exhaust fan with occupancy sensor that was vented through teh roof to the exterior of the building envelope. We used tile with recycled content amd recycled glass mosaics. We also added recessed soap and shampoo niches in the shower, added a shower seat with a solid surface Corian, and a frameless glass enclosure with dual pivoting door. The shower fixture is a Kohler Water Sense rated showerhead with a handheld spray as well.

We added a free standing tub to help save space and add a uniques achitectural element. We sued a Kohler Antique bath faucet with a handheld as well.

The toilet was a Water Sense rated Kohler Cimarron.

The vanity was a European Spa style vanity with vessel sinks and matching mirrors.

All of the lioght fixtures were Energy Star fixtures.
