Classification error:
Stripers arre not Bass in the respects of Smallie. Smallmouth Bass are in the Sunfish fasmily, Stripers are in the family with the Yellow/White Bass, White Perch, Atlantic Wreckfish, and Giant Sea Bass. Peacock bass are in the Tilapia (Cichlid) family. Hope I didn't sound mean, hope to help.
