*Also a test Somehow it recorded even with all the framerate problems I frequently have.... I'll be testing more before I actually start my 1st runthrough of this game.

because ff has got too many emo main male leads, plus its turn-based(except ff12, which i didn't like :\). This is action-based, and generally more fun than the recent ffs. If they'd churn out more ff6s and ff9s, they'd be pretty good.

I like this op better than the jp one.

I agree with the ff9 thing, that one and 7 were the best ones in my opinion....kept true to turnbase, but didn't get too extravagant I guess...

wow, how far do these tales games go back? i thought they were recent but damn, theyre like as old as final fantasy..almost like their little brother,only because they dont get noticed as much, which is kinda wierd, cuz tales games are alot more fun to me. the only thing from ff i like more than tales is the tactics series...and maybe ff 12. maybe. id still pretty much reather play abyss than ff 12

Yeah, this game dates back to the super famicon (i think....). And yeah, it can be pretty underated, unfortunately, by being overcast by some of the other well known rpgs...(such as ff). I'd venture to say this is more like FF's cousin rather than its brother, imo.
Oh, and THIS more than 12?!?!? Wow, I wouldnt have guessed....i would think you'd go for the ff12 strat than the "not as strat" Abyss!

Yeah, these games are moderately fair. I mean, I always think the ff series is fair, but gave you lots of room to abuse the items and such they give u. I guess if youre smart enough, you can basically rape the entire game!( Look at Ashe10's vids!!) The tales series is kinda the same way; but you cant always abuse the system like ff. The main reason I luv it is cuz of the street fighter rpg style its famous for!

RIo:yea cuz in every final fantasy game i ALWAYS find a way to be cheap as fuck. these games seem more...fair? i love the casting times and gaps in battles. those special attacks are amazing too. besides ive been down the long road of ff lol. ive played pretty much all of them so tale games intrest me alot. the sequals from tales seem more like sequals instead of quick moneymakers for square enix (like ff 7's many re-do's
