Every time I hear her beautiful words spoken about her dear friend and during her own twilight years, I am overcome with emotion. It surely was a different time when even those heavy burdens didn't seem as difficult or bitter as today. RIP to them both.

I have always felt that this is one the best eulogies I've ever heard. It is well crafted, articulate and from the heart of arguably one the greatest leaders Europe has ever known. Too bad we don't have the kind of leadership, conviction and vision of the Gipper in Washington anymore. There has never been a time in history when we need it more.

It is extremely sad and quite frustrating that today's leadership hasn't got the "stuff" to walk the path these great leaders cleared.

I can't imagine our current leadership in Washington, managing a fraction of the danger the "cold war" posed to our way of life.
