Maslow called the educated idiot the stage where somebody is Unconsciously incompetant. There are 4 stages. The 3 other stages, all are better than this stage. Strangely, the uneducated idiot is aware that (s)he is incompetant, and therefore by seeking guidance from (proven) competant advisors will be safer and more reliable in life than the educated idiot who won't seek advise (and prides him/herselve they don't need to)
