African american people used to be viewed the same way which we view animals now, they were only valued for the money they could earn rich white people. So yeah, it kinda is quite similar to the black civil rights movement, smart of you to point that out!
Animals and people of all races (as we've come to realise over a few hundred years), feel pain and suffering and torture just like everyone else, with the same intensity.

I love the slogan "Animal Research Kills", when advancements in human medicine result from tests like this. Stop targeting police who are doing their job. Your acting like this is the black civil rights movement. You people make me sick.
