I've always been excused, probably because I've been a victim of theft AND robbery a couple times in my past, so if the case is one of those, I'm almost immediately excused.
In California, the jury duty pool is also chosen from the DMV files, not just the voter registration. Perhaps it's different in different states.

Just once in my life I want to do Jury Duty. I am 32 years old and have never been calls. What is wrong with the state of TX!

You will probably get out. Just call them and they'll put it off for you, especially if this is your first time calling.

bridgette honey, if you truly have a transportation problem you should get the transportation exemption. it sounds to me like you'd get it ...not havin a car....i dont drive so i always just send it back saying that and they havent arrested me yet, lol, i must get jury duty cards at least four or five times every year...if worse comes to worse and they send you anything else...call them up on the phone and hash it out that way, they usually give up then

If they call you in, just tell them you have a problem with men because they teased you for who you are as a kid, and you have a problem with women, because they just won't accecpt you.
They'll send you home faster than Dorthy's slippers!!!!
