I set a rodent trap in my yard, and wound up catching a mother skunk and her baby in the trap at the same time, while three other babies surrounded the trap, not wanting to leave their mother. How does one release skunks from a trap that is guarded by three other skunks, without getting sprayed? I taped three coathangers together and bent one end into a hook, then pushed it through a crack in my back door, and snagged the bar holding the trap's trap door shut. I rasied the bar, then waited for mamma skunk to figure out that she could now push her way out of the trap, which she does in the last few frames of the film. She sped away, followed by the three free babies, leaving one baby in the trap by himself. (Nice mother...). The remaining baby eventually figured the door out and exited.
@HYAAALP Skunks can be just as bad as rats. Skunks also can carry and transmit rabies. And yes, the babies are adorable now. But one day they're going to be a problem, just like their mother. So either take them a few miles out of town and release them into the wilderness or you're going to have to put them down.

Rant aside, poor things. They looked so scared... Glad they got out unharmed.

Damn you, don't you ever read the descriptions?!? They were trying to catch RODENTS. As in RATS SNEAKING INTO THE HOUSE. Not skunks, RATS. Many people adore skunks. Are you part of some sort of fucking anti-cute animal club, 390? Go watch some fucking Happy Tree Friends, then, jerkwad!
