Well, I see your point, but consider how they didn't arrive at any planets only to find parties waiting for them, unless you count the dancing. Consider how the Captain exclaims "what a surprise!" just at meeting a talking cheese on the "CH" episode. Plus, on other clips they do explain the true meaning of the word "Surprise".

I personally didn't like the Spaceship Surprise clips; they're a bit too predictable, and the captain's confetti gimmick probably confused kids (not all surprises involve parties). It's great that CTW thought of going beyond single letters in their reading lessons, but the whole series makes me wonder whether the writers were having trouble coming up with new ideas.

The "Spaceship Surprise" sketches definitely featured some set recycling. The back wall of the spaceship was originally the wall on the "3-2-1 Contact" room during Season 1 (the Marc/Lisa/Trini era).

Hey... I just noticed something they forgot to mention in this sketch.
Everyone take a good look at the Planet scenery.
I saw two TRashcans in in there. They never mentioned those.
