Straw Boats Borrow Arrrows

"The undersigned does hereby swear to undertake the task of retrieving 100,000 arrows for usage by the allied forces of Sun Quan and Liu Bei against the traitorous army of Cao Cao. Furthermore, the undersigned swears to complete this task in at most three days or be put to death in accordance with military law." With the signing of this contract, Zhuge Liang seemed to condemn himself to death. He would ask only for several boats and 1000 barrels of straw. But in a mere three days, he would recover 100,000 arrows.

This is an original animation based on chapter 46 of Luo Guanzhong's The Three Kingdoms, a classic chinese novel forming the basis of franchises like Dynasty Warriors and Romance of the Three Kingdoms. This is the original 5 minute cut made in two months to be entered in the 2009 KCSM spotlight film festival. A longer cut will eventually be posted. Enjoy.

With animation, editing is not as much of an issue as with live films. Even so, I decided what images to show in what order, so its kinda the same.
