it has manual and auto for ISO, high ISO, and some control on aperture/shutter. You can even set it to take extra long shutter times, up to 15 seconds!

i dont think you can while recording but you can zoom before you record. The videos are typically 640 by 480 but can go lower in compact mode or 320 by 240
