Much better than modern cartoons. The animation and action are realistic. And Superman's body is not so exaggerated. How could a 300 pound guy hide in a business suit and glasses?

Throughout. The proportions are realistic, there is shadowing, the movement is smooth. The clothes wrinke and drape. Even the way his cape flaps is realistic.

I never noticed that on Fleischer cartoon, Superman was raised on an orphanage instead with the Kent's.

Or the original story never mentioned the Kent's back in 1930's

This an example of the many stories which demonize scientists. "This nut may prove dangerous." The template for this "mad scientist" was Nicola Tesla, who was initially responsible for most of the electrical innovations which brought the world AC power, radio, remote control, fluorescent light, and many others. He was eventually maligned to the point where history all but forgot him and he died in obscurity. The death ray in this cartoon and even the bird are based on his legendary story.

You're right. Even today, scientists are demonized for many of the innovations and experiments they conduct for the advancement of mankind.

He can also be defeated by magic, and was killed by Doomsday in the early 90s.

Originally released in September 1941, and indeed nominated for an Academy Award [it lost to Walt Disney's "Lend A Paw"], and Max Fleischer's last great animation project {after the disappointing release of "Mr. Bug Goes To Town" that December, it was all over between him and Paramount, as they took over his studio}. Incidentally, Jack (Popeye) Mercer is the "Mad Scientist"...
