  • A superb tribute RIP Bob

  • @KarloTheMD the tempo's a bit fast for the proper jive, sadly :(

  • If you look closely you will see that when the conductor is on the platform and Alan Titchmarsh welcomes everybody to the last night of the proms, the rail behind the conductor is not decorated (same as when the music stops). but when the music is in full swing it is. The prommers are actually bobbing up and down to Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance March No1 (Land of Hope and Glory) which is a prom tradition. The video uses footage from both halves of the last night with the music synched over.

  • On close inspection, they are not really playing that, plus I don't remember it on the Last Night programme, but it's very cleverly edited nonetheless! They should play sometime during the Proms season this year as a tribute to Bob Holness - someone should suggest it to Roger Wright.

  • Gay audience lol!!!

  • @AidanLunn I hope that isn't a homophobic remark !

  • @webboffin the whole audience is homosexual?

  • @wrexham1983 You are right, it has never been played at the proms
