I disagree. Iranian people will have freedom. And its not "the big powers in the West" , you are talking about the "big oil companies" and they are all the same, west, east, and everywhere else, people are ripped off in their own countries by them. It is the role of the governments not to let that happen.  You should look at China and Russia, they are the ones invading the markets in Iran right now and siding with the regime.

Iran as a country has got tremendous resources that can easily exceed neighboring countries' wealth with just the right organizational strategies. But when a rich country is being ruled by a horde of uneducated, superstitious, old fashioned, un-patriotic ex-convicts, the result will be the Islamic republic of Iran: corrupted, economically challenged and on the edge of a war.

True but... we live in the age of information and when the Iranian people get informed about their own situation, they will not allow big powers controlling their future, as well as mullahs destroying their lives. Globalization has reached Iran and there's nothing the West or the Mullahs can do to stop it. I think that if Iranians unite once in for all, and bring educated ppl in power, real Iranians in politics, Iran will get the freedom she deserves.
