Ever wonder what the back of a bowling alley is like? Well, here ya go. There's not much to it, really, just fixing ball jams and cleaning.

We have 24 lanes and we are a very popular alley. Friday nights are crazy... I'll try to get you a vid of it sometmime. Anyway, sorry for the poor quality of this one, it was just one of those "im-bored-spur-of-the-moment" things. I'll upload a good vid with better explanation of how the pinsetters work soon, so look forward to that.

  • Pretty cool video. Thanks for explaining things (at least what little I could hear).

  • @TheMrBlinx Thanks, my camera has a pretty shitty mic and it was loud enough back there anyway that there wasn't much I could do to help the sound quality.

  • hey u need to get auto oor they work good and remove the die wood

wow she call a black out wow u got lift wipe good

wow u got carpet cover to good

that call a turn a round pan

  • @shelllanes Management doesn't really care about us greasemonkies. Any money spent will usually go to the bar, unfortunately. We make do with what we have, though, and the machines are among the best-running in the state.

  • I go down to a small 4-Lane bowling alley with my uncle Matt every Wednesday. He works there. It's pretty cool, because he tends bar and I go behind the machines and do pretty much the same thing you do. It's cool because I'm only 17. They have the same model of machines, except that the ball returns are over-ground, so they don't have that thing in between machines, which kind of sucks, because that makes balls get stuck often.

  • @ben6273 The turn pan that the carousel dumps the pins in would turn the pin the proper way. If the pin fails to turn butt-first, then it gets jammed, but it almost always works properly. We have had a very few cases in which the pin goes the wrong way and falls over when the pinsetter sets the pins down, but those cases are few and far between.

  • I work in a 22 lane center and it's the most fun I think I will ever have on a job..

  • Sounds like the deskworker or whoever is calling the calls is an idiot by calling a blackout while you are working on it. ive been a pinsetter mechanic for 12 years and i have never met a smart deskworker. like we will really leave the machine running while we get in it.

  • LOL Seth Brogan

  • super clean machines, kudos for that

  • @shelllanes There is no such thing as any machine that can automaticly remove deadwood from an out of range pin......

  • Thanks for the Insight.

  • Let's start over, blow your damn nose first lol
