the founding fathers were on point, they knew the dangers of centralizing power - with a weak central govt and strong states, people can vote with their feet - if michigan is a welfare state and taxes the productive, the productive can walk to texas

we can no longer be the worlds policemen - right or wrong, it really doesn't matter - we're broke, so we need to close the 700 military bases in foreign countries, end the fed, eliminate the dept of education (the worst flop and boondoggle of all time), and decrease the central govt

How do you differentiate neo-libertarianism from plain old libertarianism?

Sort of an old comment you've stumbled upon. I no longer care to call myself neolibertarian or even libertarian anymore. I now believe libertarian, conservative, liberal, centrist, etc. is all fluff.

I now simply call myself an Individualist, as opposed to Collectivist, which seems to be the most popular ideology today.

I don't think social issues are going to matter to the GOP base in 4 years.... when Obama bankrupts us.

I'm worried about Sanford's pro-McCain and pro-Bilderberg approach.

That's not what neolibertarianism is, also I said the GOP is going to die, so there's no real point in me trying to make go that way.

This is what neolibertarianism is without me having to write you a book: Extremely small domestic government and big in the foreign stage. We also advocate the balancing of national security objectives with the constitution and civil liberties.

We are no neocons, and we are not "pure" (populist) libertarians, we or a melding of right-libs and neocons.

Oh trust me, I understand what they are. That's why I wrote what I wrote. Neo-libertarians are to libertarians as neoconservatives are to conservatives, to be slightly inaccurate. Both favoring military adventurism @ taxpayer expense.

"Neo-libertarians are to libertarians as neoconservatives are to conservatives"

Essentially. But we are not synonymous with neocons. Just like how Third Way adherents are the neocons of the Democratic Party.

"...military adventurism @ taxpayer expense."

It is not "military adventurism", it's defense. Ever watch Team America? Well it's explained pretty well in that movie (Trey Parker is a registered LP member btw), I'm a dick, anti-war people are pussies, and terrorists are assholes.
