This is not the shutter sound of the K7, it is quiter and faster. Like a reflex camera should be.

of course not! thats why loud shutter is not a matter in shooting animals, because of the range needed to shoot them, secially birds.. :D coz you said "I'd rather have a completely silent shutter, otherwise I'd scare off birds when trying to take pictures of them, or other animals."

of course animals wont hear the shutter sound, when using 300mm.. thats why shutter may not scare birds and animals because of the lens needed to shoot them.. :)

You do realize animals would hear the bloody shutter from just about a 300mm range ?

you may want to shoot animals with telephoto.. :) not with a close range lens
