@crimthann86 The trout fishing there at Worlds End, in combination with the rugged setting, has always been a major draw for me dating back to '67 or so when I was 11. I have decades of memories, playing in my mind's-eye like a highlight reel, to look back on. This engenders the desire, even now, to return. As my parents first took me there when I was a boy the need to see the Loyalsock through the trees on our approach via 154 remains even though my folks are gone.

May of '95, Memorial Day weekend, snow flurries were reported on Friday night into Saturday morning as I was there for fishing at Worlds End. Going back to the '70s my Dad would bring the bunch of us to Elk Grove after school was finished for summer. We'd camp-out on the lawn of Dad's buddy's trailer; this would have been in the latter part of June. Many times the temperatures overnight would get down into the 30s. We would put cardboard on the ground under the tents to stave-off the cold.

Canyon Vista is beautiful. There are some other good vistas at Worlds End. High Rock is a good vista. This one requires hiking to. And be warned, if you decide to hike it, wear hiking boots and stay on the trail.

it's very pretty up there.. I always feel fortunate to live here. These forest were set aside by people who cared about future generations and to reclaim them from the stripped forest over 100 years ago.. hard to imagine a time when all the trees, the deer and the bear were gone..
wiki has a short but informational article on the newly reorganized Loyalsock State Forest.. I caught 5 sm bass and 2 nice trout in the creek right below your view last night..
I'm a Wilderness Search & Rescue Technician. I'm well aware of how to and how not to, prepare for trail hiking.
