Nice job! Don't know if it's just me and that I'm not familiar with the song or the band, but, being Canadian, it reminds me an awful lot of Gordon Lightfoot's "If You Could Read My Mind" in parts.

@Flesher1697 I know the song, can't think of where it's similar...but the number of times I hear one song in another I'm not surprised!
Thanks for stopping by :)

Hey Jaw, nice song. You can tell it is 80's stuff, with a big chorus like they used to do... and I think technically it is your best shot so far.

@greenlentils Thanks Rom! Yeah they made big choruses and wore big hair in the 80's. I think I may have put too much into that arrangement, it's too hard to play! But, if you aren't pushing yourself, you won't be forcing yourself to get better. Not my favourite arrangement thus far, but I'm happy with it. Next! :)

Hi JAW,
very nice song! Though I didn't know the song it seemed familiar to me.
Great playing and a nice warm sound - to my ears a lot better than the crisp pick-up sound!
Cheers, Hansel

@HanzP Thanks Hanz, I had "dodgy" strings on, I'll tell a story about it on my blog in the next week or so, it's an interesting story. Suffice to say the strings weren't as good as they should be, but I EQ'd out most of the "tonal imbalance". You're right about the microphone sound and I think the warmth comes in two parts - the full harmonic response of everything - from the strings to the room - but also because it is a stereo pickup. That makes more of a difference than you'd think!
