  • Cement? Sprayed onto iron? Ordinary cement would dry, crack and flake off. This must some very special cement.

  • @silver760 Exactly. In my city, water pipe is a blue plastic pipe. Ive herd that they may be switching to some new special type of plastic for the sewer.

  • @silver760 Just a thought while I watching yet more evidence of the past and past lives go up in smoke and the resultant material being used for something most will never see, also iron pipes are slowly being replaced with plastic, these pipes will be obsolete in 5 years time.Plastic last for ever and can withstand all ground movement, even earthquakes.

  • In the future there will be NO evidence of our current and past era's.This is due to the greed of gypsies and the like who rob any metals they can get their hands on so they can sell them on to the smelters.Nothing is sacred nor safe.Just think how many vehicles.aircraft etc survive from WW2? Built in their millions, today there a handful of examples, most in museums of any model. Some have disappeared completely, nothing is safe and there will be nothing for future generations to see of this era.

  • @kyle3420 Ok, I know ductile iron and wear-resistant/work-hardening steels have manganese, but the MAGNESIUM, is that for reducing oxides and other undesirables in the precast molten iron? I know there are several types of cast iron, I've been a welder/machinist among other trades during my working years. So the ductile does require a little heat-treat and aging?

  • @dougspair theres actually maganese and magnesium in this type of iron

  • 4:40 burka robot ?! wtf xD

  • @GolfVariantCL hahaha yeha

  • @epistte Interesting that the narrator sounded like he said magnesium, not manganese? And yes, I didn't see the blast furnace either. I've seen a few of the 'how they make it' videos, the narrators likely just read a script, so if there are errors they may not know it.

  • @Zenbowyen Well, it does involve holes and tubes.

  • He said "Bell End" LOL
