@SenorDeuceDDoucheEsq i only regret he wasnt born 15 years later. i think he would have been a hellof an mma competitor today if he was 30 or 31. any true mma fan can look and see that hes a really great guy and i know for a fact as a young guy about to turn pro in mma id be proud to call him my coach.
Both men live in the Phoenix, AZ metropolitan area. Both men are good friends to each other. Two great athletes performing with great skill and dedication. Mike Van Arsdale is one the funniest human beings I have ever encountered. Mike can make you laugh, no matter how bad life becomes!
Mike Van Arsdale deserves all the respect in the world. He was the 1988 NCAA Division1 champion at 167lbs and is in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He's also a pioneer that brought Vale Tudo to the masses.(You know it as MMA.) True, his record was 8-5, but 4 of those losses came to Couture, Wanderlei Silva, Babalu Sobral,& Matt Lindland. No shame in that. Now he's a great trainer and still a hell of a guy. Oh,&respect the fact that at 45 he can still kick your ass.
anyone who gets in there has my respect but i don't go calling them legends, and what you said about those legends is extremely disrespectful, royce and ken brought huge things to the sport, show some respect.
dude, niether has shamrock, royce, abbot or any of the other washed up hasbands.....but the fact that hes been fighting and competing in submission grappling for over ten plus years and teaching it now to the new generation grants him some respect wouldnt u agree
